Finch Farm Fishery is a family-run coarse fishing venue on the edge of Hawthorne Hill in Berkshire. Three sheltered, well-stocked lakes, on-site tackle, generous banks, and a settled twenty-year record of matches, day tickets, and long, quiet weekends.

Our largest water, with up to 40 well-defined swims and mature, tree-lined margins. A settled head of mixed coarse fish, good carp, tench, bream and roach among them, with plenty of cover. A comfortable choice for pleasure anglers and matches alike.

Anaconda 1

The cat lake. Up to 40 swims and home to our catfish, alongside carp and other coarse species. A minimum line weight of 25lb applies here to look after the bigger fish.

Anaconda 2

The quietest of the three lakes. Sheltered, reed-fringed margins and a little more space on the bank, a favourite when you want a calm session away from the busier waters.

Before you visit

Common questions

Do I need a rod licence?

Yes. All anglers aged 13 and over must hold a current Environment Agency rod licence. It is separate from your day ticket.

How do I get a day ticket?

Buy one from the Tackle Shack before you set up. Cash and card are both fine, and season tickets are available too.

Can I fish overnight?

Yes, by prior arrangement. Book a night session by phone or WhatsApp at least 24 hours ahead.

Is there disabled access?

Yes. A number of platforms are suitable for wheelchair anglers, and there is hard-standing parking close to the swims.

Can I bring my dog?

Only by prior arrangement, and where permitted it must be kept on a lead.
